Once payment has been made to any LankaQR registered merchant, the seller will immediately receive an SMS confirming payment.
On the Genie app select Scan QR > Scan the merchant’s QR Code and enter amount to pay.
In order to use Scan QR, you need to be a Genie user, with the Genie application downloaded to your smartphone and Linked Savings / Debits card account. If you wish to make payments using Scan QR, you must have sufficient funds in your Savings/Current account or Debit / Credit Card.
Minimum per transaction limit LKR 10/- and Maximum limit per transaction is LKR 200,000/-
The funds will be transferred instantly to the merchant once the transaction is successful.
Yes, you can. To select a different account for payment, after you’ve scanned the QR code, select which account you want to use to make payment
