The genie Digital Savings by Dialog Finance offers the convenience of ‘eZ Banking’ through their Agency Banking Service. This service allows customers to make deposits to their genie Digital Savings Accounts at over 1300 Dialog eZ banking retailers and at 23 Dialog Arcades located across the island.

By using this service, you can experience the benefits of safety and security while conducting your banking transactions. The service enables real-time transactions, allowing you to deposit
funds into your genie Digital Savings Account without the need to visit a traditional bank branch.

Eligibility

To be eligible for making deposits, you need to be a Sri Lankan citizen and possess a valid National Identity Card (NIC). Additionally, you must have a valid mobile number registered in your name. These requirements ensure that you can securely access the deposit services available and enjoy the convenience of Ez Banking through the genie Digital Savings Account.

Transaction charges

A Convenience Fee will be charged for the deposits made between the amounts of Rs.500 to Rs.250,000. Kindly refer the Rates and Charges section on the website for Fee details.

Daily transaction limit

The daily transaction limit per person per day for the genie Digital Savings Account is set between Rs.500 to Rs.250,000.

Dialog Finance offers Agency Banking services via eZCash to increase the reach, availability, and convenience for Dialog Finance customers to perform their savings deposits through selected eZCash merchants and Dialog Experience Centers (excluding franchise outlets) island wide.

Currently, Savings Account deposits for Dialog Finance will be enabled. Savings Withdrawals will also be enabled in the future.

Savings Deposits – LKR 250,000 per day, per customer. If the customer has multiple Savings Accounts, the cumulative deposit threshold for all accounts will be LKR 250,000. Per transaction value limits: Minimum 500 and maximum 250,000.

One of the advantages of agency banking is the flexibility it offers in terms of operating hours. This facility is available even after banking hours depending on the business hours of the respective eZ cash merchant and Dialog Experience Centers (excluding franchise outlets). However, the availability of services during specific hours may vary depending on the agent and their location.

There are NO fees being charged from the eZ cash merchant and Dialog Experience Centers end from depositor for using agency banking services. However, a convenience fee will be charged from the Dialog Finance, will be debited to the account holder’s saving account immediately with the deposit.Please refer to the Rates and Charges sheet for the charging structure.

It is a Dialog Finance policy that they charge a fee for the deposits from most of all the channels.

No, any individual can make a deposit to Dialog Finance Savings Account by providing the below details.

  • Dialog Finance Savings Account Number
  • Valid NIC
  • Active Mobile number

The OTP you receive is to obtain the confirmation for the deposit. Please ensure you recheck the deposit details (Account No, Deposit Amount, Account holder’s second name) in the OTP SMS before sharing the OTP with the merchant and confirming the deposit. 

If the transaction is successful, an SMS confirmation will be sent to the depositor’s mobile number provided. The account holder also will get an SMS from Dialog Finance.

If the deposit is unsuccessful due to a system issue, the deposit will fail, and funds will be refunded. Customer will be getting SMS confirming the transaction failure.

There can be few reasons for that:

  • Entered account number might be wrong and has got rejected from DF
  • The daily deposit limit of the account holder would have been exceeded.
  • Technical error from DF or eZCash platform

A complaint can be raised with DF by calling DF hotline number. DF will validate the transaction details, obtain ‘other’ account holder’s (3rd party account holder) consent for the reversal and credit the funds to your account.

The deposit transaction has been handed over to DF, however eZCash platform has not received a response from DF. Transaction is processing from DF; you will receive a confirmation SMS sooner the transaction is completed. You can call DF hotline and check the deposit status until such time.

You will be getting an e-receipt in the form of an SMS from eZCash. If it is quite essential, you can request a paper receipt from the cashier you will receive same as per the paper availability.
